Last season the club stopped using these poles as they were considered potentially dangerous for young children. The problem was after a session they would start throwing them around. However the accident described above was apparantly caused when the pole was hit by a football and came out of the ground.

These poles have been removed from the football lock up at the Racecourse and with immediate effect should not be used in training or match warm up sessions by any coaches or managers in the Youth, Junior and girls sections.

Adult teams may continue to use them.
