Ascot United U13 youth squad are now home from the World Youth Cup in Sweden after a week and an experience never to be forgotten. The Ascot United U13 youth were knocked out of the tournament, with a 10-0 beating by Chivas from Mexico City. Chivas then went on to win the final 4-1, and amassed a total of 69 goals on the way in just 9 games. Chivas is the home club of Manchester United's Hernadez, and the top academy of Mexico. The Chivas squad played some sublime football, and Ascot with only one defeat in 2012 to this point were totally outclassed, chasing shadows for long periods of the game. At the end of the tournament, two of the Chivas players join AC Milan, 1 goes to Inter Milan, 1 to Getafe and 1 other also in the Spanish Academy system. A tough game, but putting Chivas Guadalajara and Ascot United in the same fixture is quite an achievement for the club. It wasn't to be this season but the team come home with a lot of credit as they never stopped to the very end, and had the first shot against Chivas in five games this tournament.
