3G - 14 Days in
14 Days In

The weather has been kind and the construction is moving ahead quickly. The base level has been established and the drainage is complete. Today the stone foundations are being brought in and levelled. 6 Days In

After 6 days the contractors have made rapid progress. Having stripped the turf and topsoil they are now establishing a level base and are about 4 foot down from the previous level of the grass pitch.

AT LAST 24 June

After months of delay for legal and technical reasons, SIS, the main contractors moved on to our Racecourse Ground this morning to begin construction of our new 3G full size pitch which we hope to take responsibility for by the end of September.

While we will not have a main pitch available at the Racecourse until late September, the 5 and 7 aside Racecourse mini pitches will be unaffected by the construction work and should be open from the start of the season.

Please note from now until further notice a wide area surrounding the main pitch and stand are designated as a construction site and no one may enter that area without the specific permission of the contractors, SIS.

The clubhouse, three lock ups and the garden at the rear are still accessible

NEWS UPDATE 31 May

In January we received planning consent from RBWM to construct a new 3G pitch at the Racecourse ground and in March we secured the funding for the project. Since then we have had to deal with a number of technical design and legal issues which have taken far longer than expected to resolve with the result that the start has been delayed which has had a knock on effect on the completion date.

However the really good news is that we have now overcome all the design and legal issues and have agreed a start date of 24th June and a planned date for the contractors to hand over the facility to the club at the end of September.
