|Football fans will have the opportunity to pay as little or as much as they like to watch Ascot United’s league cup quarter final at The Racecourse this weekend. “The Yellamen” entertain Longlevens AFC in the last eight of the Bluefin Sport Challenge Cup (Saturday 12th January, 3pm) and the club hopes that the supporters from far and wide will flock to the ground to watch the in-form side. All spectators can watch the game for free or choose to make a donation on entry, the choice is theirs!
United have been in fine form this season and are currently top of the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division, and this weekend their attentions shift to a cup competition they last won in 2013-14.
Director of Football Neil Richards said “This is all about saying thank you to our fans for their support so far this season, and we are also looking to welcome all supporters to our club this weekend in what is an exciting time for Ascot United Football Club.”
For newcomers, the address is Ascot United FC, Ascot Racecourse, Car Park 7&8 (off A330 Winkfield Road), Ascot, SL5 7LJ. A fully licensed bar will be open and there will be hot and cold food available. For more information, visit www.ascotunited.net.
