Terry first took up the first of his many subsequent coaching roles at Ascot United in 2003.
He assisted with various teams in the boys section and was the driving force behind the coaching within the thriving girls section that the club has today.
Coaching every side in the first season that the girls section was established, he went on to ensure the section has qualified coaches associated with each of the Ascot sides. Terry now heads the Women’s and Girl’s section at the club and manages / coaches our under 12 Diamonds
Terry also coaches this seasons youth under 16 Racers
Representing Ascot United, Terry coaches in local schools to encourage girls and boys to join Ascot Utd and is constantly unearthing good talent for the sections. He also mentors coaches on behalf of the Berkshire sports development programme across a range of sports.
Since qualifying as an UEFA ‘B’ licensed coach, Terry has formed his own coaching company along with a fellow coach and has worked for Southampton FC as an Academy coach and was also Football Development Officer for women & girls football in Berkshire for the Football Association. Now forming a link between community coaching and the club..
Terry served as Vice Chairman of Ascot United last season giving up that role following his appointment as First team coach for Hellenic League team Finchampstead at the end of last season.
In his main line of work, Terry runs a Recruitment / I.T. solutions company.
Terry is also well known for his passionate support of Tottenham Hotspur FC and in addition to his involvement at Ascot United he is also a governor at South Ascot Village School. |
